Tower of Minak

My first quake map, requires AD 1.80, quake engine with increased limits, Ironwail is recommended.
My attempt at a semi non-linear loopety loop map. Takes place in a tower in the sky that has a lot of books for some reason.

Just only now got to playing this and this is absolutely impressive in detail and how Makkon's textures are used is just stunning. Liked how the layout takes you for a spin and it is sometimes hard to tell where you are in the space. There might be a small softlock situation related to the silver key, if you find the secret pathway while the combat encounter is active, previous door doesn't open. I Resorted to noclip back to the silver key balcony.

Anyways, gameplay was solid and pretty good use of AD features. Liked some creative secret placement. Fun to explore as well.

Whoa ...this is this dude's first Quake map? Very impressive!

Looks good, plays well, good interconnectivity, and some fun puzzle-platform bits. I only had one brief moment where I thought "Where the Hell do I go now?" Really well done overall. Probably my only critique would be add a song & read_me file. Look forward to see more from radhsar! :)

This is my first map indeed...i did dabble in Doom and HL mapping around 18 yrs ago...never released anything thinking it was not up to snuff....I was very close to deleting this one as well, but i powered thru...I setup a song V1.1 but in my infinite stupidity forgot to bundle the song...im hoping to release V1.2 with an optional boss fight...
I'm enjoying this recent spate of midsize AD maps. :-)

Had a fun trip through this one... some neat route finding and looping around. Really strong start and mid, maybe runs out of steam a bit at the very end but overall good stuff.

I liked a lot of the presentation too. One kind of random thing I wanted to mention is good use of windows to open up a space, give you previews of other areas, and generate some parallax effects. Also the view of the mega-arch at the beginning was something I particularly liked for some reason; that megalithic structure with the strong sunset lighting reminded me of some old sci-fi Michael Whelan paintings I think.

Thank for playing and the great feedback!!! i did run out of ideas for the final area and took a long time to settle on the ending...i learnt a lot from this,hoping to make a bigger nastier level.
Would give 5*, but I couldn't find the exit and spent too much time looking for it.. it's kinda hidden off the side behind the corner in the final area, pretty unintuitive.

Very nice maze with a decent look and lighting!
7/8, even the fisherman was found, but couldn't get to the bottom plasma gun at all ;)

A very good thought-out map. It was not easy and the puzzles very interesting to go through, especially the secrets of 7/8. A lot of monsters is what I love the most. Respect

1.1 without softlock. Played with QS.

In my opinion, one of the best AD maps I played since ad_sepulcher.
Looks great and - most important for me - has the right balance between thinking and fighting. Permanent suspense guaranteed!

Moving platforms and shootable buttons are well thought out.

Secrets 5/8 and that's good with me, of cause. I would like to know if there's a bookshelf secret.
