Started this sometime last year with the goal of making a central vertical room and having the layout loop into it a few times across different floors (hopefully just enough to maybe make it not too confusing).

I sorta shelved and un-shelved this multiple times. Something about using CR8 and trying to make areas for this layout almost didn't work out (I ended up scaling it back a bit), but I am kinda glad that it got to the finish line in some form.

A nice tech-y CR8 map that's decently open with some nice loops. It must have been due to personal fatigue but backtracking is actually facilitated with some really nice neon light strips in the hub area lol, only noticed it upon a 2nd brief revisit of the map. I like the scale and unlike most medium to large CR8 maps, getting lost is usually not a thing. Fun setups and some really great details + 45 degree alcoves. Water area also rocks, and that orange sky fits, gives it a Q2/Doom 3 aesthetic.

Neat map; I appreciated the full mod being included here. I did get a little lost here and there, but not for too long.

The encounters were fun. A focus on underwater combat makes a return.

The "re-routing power" idea is always neat to see in maps and other games. I do think there was a bit of a missed opportunity with the lighting and cr8's switchable light textures to communicate even more of an idea of re-routing power to different areas visually. These are small things in the grand scope, however.
