Makkon submitted a new resource:

Makkon Textures - a large library of textures by the artist Makkon, organized by theme or material

The Makkon texture wads come in many different themes and color variations, all in a cohesive art style, allowing for mixing and experimenting with colors and surfaces to help a mapper create stunning environments.

All zip files contain multiple images of examples and documentation on using trim textures, and some contain example maps. Please look at the documentation images! They will explain the intended use of some more advanced textures.

ah, no that's a mistake. this particular trimsheet is one of the oldest textures, before I had a better idea of what I was doing. I'll try to address that future updates. for now though, I'd recommend using the standard trims for this kind of stone work as they're generally better and more versatile. the standard trims ended up making that section on this trimsheet redundant, so I might end up changing it to something else to use the space better

for anyone interested, I'm also working on a new concrete set
Always wanted to try a concrete map. It'll be good to have a definitive set for that, as yours tend to be.
as well as an eldritch stone set, which I think is distinct enough to be it's own wad separate from the stone wad
Another theme that I've wanted to try but never quite had the textures for. These ones especially look gorgeous.

I can't promise you a map, but I look forward to these releases, if only to see what others do with them.

Holy hell, that's seriously looking good man! Always wanted something that looked more traditional in terms of the Quake aesthetic from you, and these hit that really well.

This is looking real sick so far! Seems like Brutalist quake maps will be a possibility now thanks to this set!

I hate being that guy who says "omg X Jam when!?" as soon as someone posts something interesting, but organizing a Brutalism Jam with these would def be pretty cool.
I'm willing to brutalise a few players :p

a Brutalism jam would kick ass, count me in!

started working on some soviet block-like building facades, as well as some patterns that are less industrial and more decorative. haven't added glass yet but I'm pretty happy with how these are turning out so far

topping off with a nice non-earth like trimsheet for good measure. I think I'm ready to release the concrete wad! I haven't done piles or rubble, but that's a particularly challenging thing to tackle that I can probably save for later.

Makkon updated Makkon Textures with a new update entry:

New Concrete Set

A new wad, focused on Concrete. This update includes many different concrete surfaces, ranging from prefab panels and floors to building facades to structural trims. The wad totals in 551 new textures, most of which are one of 13 color variations, and are built to pair well with the Tech set. Included are some example images, standard trimsheet tutorials, and 3 example maps. Excited to see what everyone makes with them!

Great to see these, I didn't expect them to get a public release this quickly.
Comparing with the OTEX texture set for Doom, concrete stood out as the main theme that was missing from the Makkon texture sets. Also, I can see the concrete floors going particularly well together with the tech walls and providing more variety to Tech themed maps. Good to see the variety of decals as well.
