Note: Requires Alkaline 1.2 to work ( not included )

So this was started months ago, originally as a way to test Speedbaze textures. Eventually this turned into an experiment of "how many texture sets can I include in a techbase before something looked out of place"

Map statistics:

Secrets: 13

Monster counts:

Easy - 207
Normal - 247
Hard+ - 301

Tested in:

~QuakeSpasm (0.94 & 0.96)

~QuakeSpasm Spiked

~vkQuake

~Ironwail [Main port tested]

Note: The map will not work on the remaster. A certain sequence lags Kex super hard on Normal, and on Hard it straight up freezes.

Excellent Alkaline map.
Plenty of ammo and boxes, so it was fun to be on the lookout for those spider mines. They only managed to get me once!
The secrets were indeed tough (5/13), but maybe that's how it should be.

Very-very cool engaging Alkaline map. I didn't expect it to be that good, since I never heard before of ExaByt. Is it debut map? Anyway the map is highly recommended. Encounters are challenging - even scary a bit. Also worth mentioning that the secrets are really tough, I've found only half of them, and I do not have even a clue where are the others

I go by either 'ZetaByt' or 'ExaByt', there's not really any consistency with it anymore
It was really nice to see an Alkaline map for the holidays! Pretty cool use of the new ceiling turret enemy that implemented too. I had a nice hour run on normal & thought the battles were set up pretty well, with the exception of a fiend insta-kill out of nowhere that occurred once (however, I play really cautiously & was distracted by about 4-5 cyberscrags). Cool look too!

Very nice looking semi linear techbase with a slow atmospheric progression. Playful traps and enemy locations and a unique attempt at making new buttons (reminds me of pushing in the Quake 2 keyboards), however despite the tutorialisation at the start at one point they seem harder to hunt for, otherwise they're not too obscure.
What a christmas gift! Maybe a little bit straight forward, at least I never had to search and think. Just shoot'n'run. Also it wasn't too difficult for me on skill 0 and maybe I'll try it again with skill 1. Secrets 6/13 on first attempt, and that's good with me. Including the dopefish - okay, it isn't a difficult dopefish.

I like this mix of alk and rubicon looks.

Thanx!
A really interesting map. However, you rarely use a shotgun, unlike a nailgun and laser / plasma cannons. At least at a normal level of difficulty. )))
Good show! Good to see Floyd and the Rubicon boys for Christmas. Great little set pieces and fights. Back half is a tad heavy on mines, though the "Ha I can shoot that exposed mine" set piece was funny.

I see you hired the same contractors that built the Death Star, with issuing Ranger a laser weapon and then having all the walls reflect laser fire.

And yes I found the cute little dopefish secret.
