High Noon In Akhetaten

Something I had initially joked about making at multiple points, got bored and decided to try it, because an outdoor map seemed fun to mess with at least once.

Map from version 1.2 onward requires [ Copper v1.30, not included ], map versions prior to that require [ Copper v1.20, also not included ]

Tested in:

~Ironwail (extensively)

~vkQuake (enough to know it works)

~QuakeSpasm Spiked (some of the skybox disappears at a distance, map seems to work fine beyond that)

~QuakeSpasm (requires sv_protocol 999 to work properly, functionally the same as QuakeSpasm Spiked otherwise)

--Map does not seem to run in the Steam Kex port, at least not to my knowledge anyway.

Over 700 hundred enemies and a bit much in some areas! In particular, there is a huge mass of several hundred enemies of all types in the extensive arena. Sometimes I had to renew my digital life there several times. The sheer number of ammunition and regeneration packs is very positive. This ensures that you can survive the Mamut Tour in a positive sense right to the end! I actually found all the secrets and while we're at it, I'd like to praise the Egypt setting with the large pyramid. Many of the sections also lead into the heart of the area. It's very reminiscent of the game [Serious Sam] where you're also accompanied by a suitable piece of music. I don't really like these maps with so many enemies, as they drag the game out a long way. But I didn't really feel that with this map. In the end, I can only say that this is a neat job by the map creator and I hope that there will be more to come.

Very cool serious sam influenced map. It's heavy on the 'large fights with hordes of enemies', but each of the different fight are all interesting and unique in their setups.

I enjoyed this map as much as the last time I played it which I can't recall when that was.

I give it 0 clears out of how many of those fucking things are in clear alley.

If pressing buttons, absurd monster masses and huge horde fights are your thing, then this is your map. I'm totally into it. Thank you very much.
Ever since I kept seeing ExaByt talk about Serious Sam in a certain streamer's chat I thought we would one day see Serious Sam (at home edition) and it finally happened. It's a great map and unlike Serious Sam it is not tedious and not a hold-S simulator. It's great.
