This is my second map. I made my first multiplayer map in 1998.

There's a central three story building with Quad at the bottom and Red Armor at the top, with lots of action in rooms and sewers around it. I tried to make it look close to official quake levels, by using the vanilla textures, but with colored lighting and other nice things. It has all the items, even the bio suit, and two rocket launchers.

EDIT: New version 1.2 based on feedback, with more windows, a shortened corridor and other things.

Map is pretty nice for free for all. Base theme is done in very oldschool way. Thunderbolt and pentagram rooms are pretty nice. Teleports and lifts make map work a bit faster. Since map has been updated it plays a bit faster than before which is great!

Long corridors are the biggest issue with most of the areas in the map. Going around for red armor takes a lot of time, wish that area was smaller or had other paths there like from top rocket launcher. Speaking of rocket launchers, the 2 RL spawns are really close to each other physically. Quad room is a bit weird too. Some elevation change could help.

From recent playtests we were having more fun encounters in the map thanks to the changes being made. Especially top rocket launcher was more used. Some issues are still present as I state on this review, but making changes to those is quite tricky.

Bio suit hardly has any impact how to play the map and while that tunnel leads to pent in a very interesting way, it is otherwise useless area.

Would be great to have more windows and open paths in some of the areas like red armor and thunderbolt/pent area. Some elevation changes to reduce flat grounds.

Yes, it's an old school map!

Red armor is sealed off to not make quad + rl + red available in an instant. But I guess I could make a bridge to the top rl room instead of a teleport. There are two slime areas for the bio suit actually, so it's not completely useless, one of them has 100 health and the ring. But it's a secret! Quad room is meant to slow you down a little. It's a bit of a death trap. Some corridors could be made shorter actually. And maybe have some more windows.

I tried to make it a bit different than the normal arena style maps, with some elements that are normally found in single player thrown in. It makes gameplay perhaps a bit slower, but maybe also more varied and interesting.
