Good job man... strong first map. The construction is chunky, not much trim/detail, but with an eye for texture and lighting. Everything looks appropriately "Quake-y" (or more precisely, like certain early custom Quake maps) but it's all kinda pleasant and colorful in its own way.
Combat on skill 2 is fine, on the easy side but still some fun setups to blast through, with good ammo metering.
The real star of the show though is the visual variety. First, there's just a lot of different locations, all styled to look quasi-medieval-realistic. Second, this map ranks WAY high on the "making lots of different little things out of brushes" scale. From potted plants to skulls to flowers to market stalls to swords etc. etc. Almost a whole new sub-game in just seeing what will pop up next. In this throwback-ish kind of map I think that is excellent.
In terms of just technical brushwork or combat this might be a fine 3-star first map, but IMO the sheer character of all that other stuff I mentioned bumps it up another star.
