Block-Quake - This playful conversion turns everything into plastic pieces for Quake vanilla, and Copper, too!

Block-Quake is a total conversion mod that replaces all of Quake's vanilla models with familiar looking "blocky" monsters, weapons, items and bosses! Included is a Block-Quake update that adds new plastic replacements for the Copper mod (you'll need the regular Copper mod for Block-Quake's version to work correctly)

I've tried installing for ../udob/.. as per the instructions, also in my ../steamapps/../Quake/copper/.. folder (so inside my managed Quake directory, non-rerelease). In both cases the following Block Quake replacement entities take effect:

1. Jump sound
2. Player-wielded axe model
3. Health, ammo, backpacks, keys & powerups
4. Knight & Rotfish models
5. Nail projectiles

But none of the other models are replaced. To confirm: this happens both using recommended installation instructions while using Kex (with advanced models turned off), and when dropping the blockquake_copper.pak (renamed to pak1.pak) in my manually-managed Quake/copper folder (using IronWail).

Any ideas what the issue could be?

You're simply installing the Copper-exclusive things. Patching Copper requires also using the Vanilla pak.
So, you'll download Vanilla & Copper, place them both in the folder and then re-name them to fit the .pak numbers, then things should function as expected.

Thanks Fairweather, I missed that crucial line of documentation — I thought the copper pak was a wholesale replacement! 😅

I can confirm it's all working fine as described now.
