...This is bloody weird!
There are some really nice touches here and there, and certainly a lot of love for Minecraft. But it's bloody weird playing like this in Quake...

Well done everyone! I wonder what y'all come up with next time... but i'm looking forward to it!
Thanks for your work, and thanks for sharing!
Well this jam perfectly captures the theme of Minecraft with all fine details put into UI and making sure maps follow the usual Minecraft like world building. Impressive work as I have almost nothing to complain except wish that soundscape with music could've been more lively.

There are some really gem moments in gameplay department too. Pack is fairly short to do a full playthrough on, so highly recommend checking this one out.

This jam was clearly put together with lots of love and care. The textures look great, the maps were overall really good (particularly 4LT and Avix's), and all the model and UX changes... great work everyone involved.
Maybe Minecraft Jam 2 could have custom enemy and weapon models as well, and then we'll really be in total conversion territory.

This was something really surprising and really well thaught I enjoy it a lot would like the redesign of enemies too :)

I've never played Mincraft for more than a few minutes, but from a Quake point of view, I think it could easily win a lookalike contest. The gameplay was not more than solid for me, but the attention to detail more than made up for it, the only problem was that I got stuck more often than on classic maps. Apart from this I had a lot of fun. Thanks for the colourful experience.

mad at rabbit for not making a goated movement map but everything was still cute and comfy

I think the 4 v 5 star thing here will come down to how much Minecraft you played. I have played zero Minecraft, but am vaguely aware of some memeing about it.

So, for me, this is quite a cool mod and texture pack that definitely looks like I think Minecraft looks... but anything that the maps are doing to evoke Minecraft-related specific memories is of course flying right over my head.

Talking just about "map quality" - I agree with j4r, some of the maps are quite "tight" in their design (some of the others, including 4LT and Rabbit's maps, are much traversable - Rabbit clearly resisting making a super hard speed map ;) ).

I am ambivalent. Everything looks very nice and cute, but some of the maps are simply too cramped and hacky and are not fun to play. Even the standard Quake enemies are quite annoying at first because they don't really fit in.
But I think this could be a very good basis for a quake mod.

Really beautiful custom textures, models, assets, maps, and some really cute little touches (^_^). However, I feel some of the maps were too cramped - regardless, most were only 10 minutes, and they were all dripping with love and charm, so it doesn't matter :).

I think I liked Rabbit's the most, surprisingly theirs was the easiest to navigate.

Couldn't find the Nightmare difficulty this time; I wasn't feeling like it anyways, but I'll go hunting again once that last map gets added - looking forwards to it! :D
