aDaya submitted a new resource:

Tomb of Thunder - 7 maps long campaign with replacement weapons, new enemies, and many new features.

- Copper based (with some changes)
- 7 maps, including a secret one
- 3 replacement weapons
- 4 new enemies, including a new final boss
- New difficulty variable: Super Monsters ; buffs each monsters individually
- Revised Nightmare Mode

Read more about this resource...

Inside of the download there is a zip folder. That folder contains the tombofthunder folder, and another zip labelled tombofthunder2024. Is this a case of including the same content inside twice?

All of the switches for unlocking Nightmare in the start map seem to have the default wait value instead of -1, so you can wait and hit the same one repeatedly. Might want to change that up.

Please, somebody tell me how to proceed to the exit on the map tot04a. Collected all Gold Keys but unable to find where to apply them! It completely ruins the experience of a great mod! Please, forgive me, aDaya!

Thanks to feedback, Tomb of Thunder has been updated:

-Fixed source files not matching what's inside the compiled progs files.
-Fixed duplicate zip file (this was supposed to be the readme file but in the confusion got another zip file instead of the actual readme file, me dum and hasty)
-Fixed series of shootable buttons leading to a secret in start.bsp where they were shootable multiple times, nullifying the challenge of finding the secret.
-Fixed possible softlock at the end of tot1.bsp, train doors now open permanently on top of their activator being locked behind counters.
-Railgun now does 95 damage on Deathmatch rather than the whopping 270 in Singleplayer for balancing reasons (forgot to do that one actually)

This is the same room you got in after exiting the reactor core after reactivating it.

I suggest a readme with recommended engines the pack has been tested with.
Edit: lol it already is on the new download.

Tell me, why aren't two updated enforcer models used on your maps? One of them is equipped with a nail gun and the other with a double-barreled shotgun (nailinf1.mdl, shelltrp.mdl).

oh those are from an older iteration of tomb of thunder that I have scrapped, forgot to delete those but for now it's no biggie

Playing Tomb of Thunder v1.011 fix.
My biggest compliments, so far.
Nice idea, to offer two (as far as I can see) alternative entrances.
I can't proceed in TOT4B. (Here, message: Biosuit stations inaccessible. Activation required.)
Did I overlook something?
( Also, playing the previous version, I got stuck in TOT4A. But maybe this is fixed with the update. )
Edit: skill 0, as mostly.

You need to find and destroy the cracked ventilation grilles and crawl through the ventilation ducts (many times), find the generator and turn it on. The main lighting will turn on and the bans will be lifted. As long as the red emergency lights are on everywhere, nothing is working.

Tell me, is it normal that a double-barreled shotgun produces a different number of shots? The longer you press the shot button, the more shots are fired, from two to five pieces. In any case, there are six rounds in the barrel of the weapon. )))

The secret level seemed to me very monotonous and too cloudy. Most of the corridors are the same, and you can easily get lost. There are no signs. I had to reduce the density of the fog to a value of 0.035 in order to somehow navigate in space.

aDaya updated Tomb of Thunder with a new update entry:

Tomb of Thunder Update - version 1.02

This update mostly centers around map modifications:

-Made the Nail Infantry's bullet deal stronger damage (from 3 to 5)
-Made the axe kill on Nightmare harvest killed enemies' health divided by 5 instead of 4.5

-Map fixes:
-tot1: * Made path to nailgun more obvious
* Made key doors more obvious
* Changed some monster placements (mostly for hard skill)
* Added additional teleporting monsters exclusively for when the quad...

Hi!

I'd love to put some custom artwork together for this for use with game launchers, to go on steamgriddb - do you by any chance have the source files for the poster artwork still around so I could repurpose them for that?

1.02: thanx for "Made path to nailgun more obvious!" in tot1.
I detected it (but can't remember how, and don't know why I didn't find in the former versions).

Also tot1:
maybe I found a mistake?
The opening right side the four steps down.
Looking down there is a hole.
I jumped down, of cause.
And got some nice effects I try to communicate with some screenshots.
I fall and fall and fall ... nice. But is it intended?

Oh god that is a hole indeed, somehow the map still compiled after that? Anyway as you can see I have made an update to fix that among others, so thanks for pointing that out!

Due to a mistake seen a bit too late (one elevator not working in tot7), version 1.02a has been re-released with a fix to it. Download link is the same.

Congrats on the release, aDaya. i know you put literal years into this. happy to see you complete it.
