I'm going to download it and try it out. Sock is one of the best Quake map designers of all time.
A map of his is always synonymous with quality, even if you don't have to see it.
Unfortunately, he hardly publishes anything these days.

He actually has released a couple of maps recently as he seems to be active in Map-Center, contributing with maps for their retrojams.

Let's just take a moment to appreciate the consistent level o quality maps release by Sock over the years. Let's learn from this guy, this is level design that elevates Quake to its full potential. How luck are we to still have him around us and gifting us with such splendid maps.

Great to see a new Sock map. As usual it's beautiful but my reactions just aren't good enough for a tight map like that. However, thanks for sharing the map-center link, I wasn't aware of that and didn't know about the map doodle challenges -- that's much more up my street! After two years tinkering with Quake mapping, I've learned I'm no good at gameplay, I just want to make art...
