This was much needed for the Quake community.

Discord is great and all but its really hard to thumb through all the nonsense which most servers have, to find exactly what you really need. Quaddicted is great for maps, but its really hard to find stuff on there as well and the func msg board.

Much appreciate the effort going into this, with the "remaster/rerelease" of Quake. There has been new life breathed into the community and this site is exactly what was needed.

Yeah it's good so now you don't need to join 50 different discords to download people's maps and what not

Thanks for the kind words, mate!
I think the #1 biggest reason I've heard from people who wanted to get into the community but couldn't was because of Func/Quaddicted being a very peculiar split, with a lot of discussion / information being practically hidden in these forums which are just giant thin strip walls of text.
So with the explosion of interest in Q1 since Dumptruck's tutorials in 2018, there's been a big need for a modern forum that intergrates the community's creations into one place. Especially mods, poor mods being neglected by Quaddicted most likely killed them outside of Bloodshot's work (Quake 1.5, Slayer's Testaments).

Definitely agree. You've taken on a lofty goal and for what it's worth, you've done the community a huge service. We need to reinvigorate the Quake community and keep that flame burning, so great job!
