This is the very definition of perfection. "Underdark, Overbright" presents an episode which — on the surface — has a classic feel to it. Nothing here is so far removed from the base experience of Quake that it will sour purists. Rather, it builds upon that foundation, with cleverly routed maps and plenty of ogre grenades that ricochet when you least expect them. Everything seems artfully positioned, with monsters and ammo being carefully balanced. this extends even into co-op play, where entire puzzles may change to accommodate increased player counts. Though the biggest highlight for me were the secrets throughout — especially at the end of the start map!
