A community map jam for Quake 1, where participants had a month to create a level focusing on meat. This pack contains 12 maps, including the start map. Runs on the Quoth mod, which is included, and adds new enemies, weapons, and powerups.

To play this, put the "meatjam" folder in your Quake directory, launch the game, open the console with "~", type "game meatjam", and then just start a new game to load the start map.

Might be missing something, but I've run out of ammo twice in a row in shades' map. Tried a "different route" the second time, but still ran out of ammo. This on Nightmare. Guess I've missed a secret or something.
 
@Mazu Could you please elaborate this in more detail? What does "Quoth breaking" look like?
Monster agro breaks with both info_multispawn and regular teleport spawnflags used with monster entities. Probably doesn't like saving and loading or relay chains triggered by monster deaths.

Something weird happened with trigger_hurt turning off by itself causing some enemies to stack. Instead of dying to it, probably something to do with saving and loading or sourceports combined with Quoth.

One time I had a drole not agro the player when it had no special keys or targets in it. Just standing still until being hit enough to cause stagger, then it would start chasing the player.

There are other issues that are not directly Quoth. Issues like flashlight battery being so short. But can't fault the mod for that.

And I get it, it is an old mod which is not super polished or aimed to be user friendly in the first place. But weird stuff was happening all over the place for me and some other players I was watching playing the meat jam.
 
Yeah, I definitely noticed some weirdly hard to aggro monsters in some maps, although I'm not sure I assumed it was Quoth specifically.

Changes to Speculum:

- Fixed a water brush not extending all the way to the bottom of a pit
- Added a box to the silver key room so you can jump down without damage
- Improved stair clipping
- Swapped Quad for Trinity in Normal skill
- Various clipping, geometry, and texture tweaks
- Small changes to music track

The Seed -

- Fixed water boundary issues
- Improved visibility for some ropes
- More hints as to what actions must be performed to enter the city

Carrion Star -

- Added more explosive bulbs throughout the level to act as tenuous safe zones, and hopefully make the flashlight more bearable
- Fixed a visual glitch with a fence texture in the sewer that made it grey

I like F15H00K's Cadaver Sanctum a lot, but annoyingly enough I only get 145/150 kills. I've noclipped around everywhere but not seen any monsters I've missed. Guess it might be a spawn trigger I'm missing or something? Anyway, sweet map!

EDIT: Replayed it and 145/150 this time as well.
