Recording video/demo?

Hi! Which Quake source ports allow for recording video directly from Quake? I see JoeQuake has a capture_start command, but I mostly run ironwail and QuakeSpasm. Also, JoeQuake seems to be able to convert demos recorded with capturedemo. Would be awesome to not have to fiddle with OBS, but I'm not quite ready to give up ironwail as many mods and maps recommend it. Thoughts? Alternatives?

I'm assuming you're trying to make Quake films. If not, I don't know if the machinina camera tool I linked can help. Thought I would leave a link to it, just in case it turns out to be of use for what you're talking about. Cheers.
