Addendum: I can't start my normal mjolnir with Ironwail 0.8.0. ERROR:

Ironwail 0.8.0:
mjolnir starts with -heapsize 2048000 instead of above mentioned -heapsize 2048576.
Marooned doesn't.
 
Don't do that. Marooned and mjolnir are two different gamedirs in this setup.

I tried it with renaming/moving this file, but that doesn't work.
 
If you can't run "normal" mjolnir then yah it won't work with this either. Make sure you have the "Patch 1" for mjolnir installed on top of the original mjolnir stuff.

Probably shouldn't take up this thread further with mjolnir debugging stuff. Feel free to message me here (or on Discord, same username) if you would like some additional eyeballs on your problem.
 
I expressed myself misleadingly.
Mjolnir (including Patch 1) plays fine.
The error

with marooned.
I'll try some investigations.
 
Running latest Ironwail 0.8, with the launch params from the op (-heapsize 2097152 -game mjolnir -game Marooned) I get this error:

put the Marooned files inside the Mjolnir folder. Your command line should look like this:

ironwail -width 1920 -height 1080 -conwidth 640 -conheight 384 -id1 -game mjolnir -bpp 32 -heapsize 2048576 -zone 4096 +map marooned

you probably forgot to download and extract Mjolnir patch 1.
I would recommend to NOT extract marooned into same folder as mjolnir.

You don't need all the options with ironwail 0.8.0 or newer.
ironwail -game mjolnir -game marooned +map marooned

Make sure directories are lower case like in the command above, esp important on linux / freebsd.
 
I had a look at 2 of the unfinished levels, pretty massive beasts in there, definitely Tronyn's stamp on them. I wonder if one day someone might take these almost finished levels and turn it into a single episode. The 3 that were released, this and the couple of unfinished but look like they're almost complete levels would make a full episode. Can't open the other unfinished stuff since there's no bsp but for sure there's can't be far from a full episode.
 
I'd like help with one of the secrets, which I can't seem to find. (Hopefully, it's connected to a couple of monsters as well, which I'm missing.)

I got the
Red Armor secret in the Half Life-like section, where you circle around two "silos" in a "tram".
But the second one?

Arcane Dimensions version

This is a re-release of Marooned to be compatible with Arcane Dimensions. The majority of changes between this version and the Mjolnir version are adjustments to monsters, weapons and items. Only small tweaks have been made to the actual map, it remains largely the same. This re-release is intended to reach a wider audience that may have skipped it due to its Mjolnir exclusivity, or prefer the Arcane Dimensions mod.

Marooned is designed to be played with an engine that supports skyrooms...

Interesting move!

BTW the main overview page still talks about Mjolnir. You should probably replace that with instructions about using this with AD (...or maybe also keep the Mjolnir instructions but mention they are only for the older 2024 versions of the map.)
 
Thanks for the AD update! It's an amazing map, but I've never managed 100% kills, so I'll see if that perhaps works better with AD,

Once again, thanks for the AD version, which works perfectly! I had a weird lighting issue with the Mjolnir version (it was overbright in the section where the lights shuts down) and some other minor issues, but no issues at all now.

I think there might be an enemy straggler somewhere that I can't find. If you've got both secrets and are positive you have cleared out every room of enemies, then I would consider you've slain every enemy in the map regardless of what the monster counter says.
