Makkon Textures

in my frustration with the incompleteness of foliage in the nature wad, I made ivy feature complete.

Woohoo! Congratulations! And thank you. A monumental effort for sure and one that I really hope pays you handsomely, you deserve it so much after your tireless commitment.

I've been reading the To-Do list.... some very interesting things on there! Eldritch sounds a lot of spooky fun, and the additions to medieval and nature sound very cool too.

I have a question about the licence: if I buy the TGAs, can use them as external textures for community Quake maps (to get the improved colours)? The terms don't allow redistributing standalone files, but could these be packaged in a .pak and released with a mod or map? I'm assuming that's not allowed and that only the 8-bit existing wad versions are allowed for community maps...?

I have a question about the licence: if I buy the TGAs, can use them as external textures for Quake maps (to get the improved colours)? As that would mean distributing original true colour files, I'm assuming that's not allowed and that only the 8-bit existing versions are allowed for community maps?
that would unfortunately be a violation of the license, as external textures aren't "cooked" or embedded game files, but unmodified loose images floating in a folder being distributed.

Thanks for the quick reply, I was editing my post when you replied: I wondered if having them in a .pak counts as packaged? I assume not since it's too easy to use modding tools to extract them. No worries, thought I'd check anyway.

On another note, this still takes my breath away. Unbelievably beautiful.
