How exactly do I install this/play this mod?

I unzipped all contents to ad folder.. As told. Launched quakespasm, console: game ad. Started new game there then opened console again typed map dhsp1 to no avail. just says cannot find. etc. Do I have to create a file inside the ad folder called dhsp1 then unzip to that? and yes I am fairly new to this.

That's all you should've needed to do to install the map. The map name in-game is ad_dhsp1, so do "game ad", then "skill 2" or whatever difficulty you want, and then "map ad_dhsp1".

If you moved all the contents to the right folders, the map should start. Did you even write the name of the map in the console correctly? It's called ad_dhsp1, not just dhsp1.
