In the new update for the QSS engine, everything turned out to be even worse. There is no manhole cover at the beginning of the map, there are exploding crates right away. There is a gun, which is not right. There should only be an axe. There are no stairs at all.

nothing's wrong with this version. This only means that AD progs are not enabled. You probably forgot to include -game ad
in the command line if map is located in another directory e.g. ad_dhsp1

BTW, during a replay yesterday, I noticed that the gaps between the blue lasers behind the shootable door are too wide to prevent the player from passing by.

I don't understand, can you still pass through them? I put a clip-brush between them, which then disappears along with the lasers after press a button.

yes, I can pass those blue lasers in QSS and vkQuake. Have not tried IW.

Thanks, I really forgot to do it! But when I started the map correctly, I couldn't climb the first ladder, but only the second.

First ladder is the short one in the pit in the room before the SSG. Yes it's still has the old settings. I skipped this one during the replay.
 
Love the map, but I must be missing something as I only can find 8/9 secrets. I got all kills (i.e. doing the optional part as well), but I must be missing a secret trigger or something perhaps. Is it possible to get all secrets? I've even used the shalrathy fork of Quakespasm to check but it didn't help. After getting 8/9, I don't get a blue line pointing out the 9:th.

Two other small things while I'm at it:

1. The secret behind the flag doesn't actually contain anything.

2. If you drop into the water that divides a room rather close to the beginning you can't get up again. At least I wasn't able to.

Excellent! With the third update, all errors with ladders have been fixed, even for the "QSS" engine! 5/5!!!

But in these places you can add secrets. They're just asking to be there.

With jump boots, you can jump inside the upper room with a pipe and make a secret area with something useful there.

Behind the bars, you can add a room with a quad damage for the final fight.

By the way, some monsters stand sideways to the player. They do not see him and do not show aggression. For example, a soldier on a double bridge over a door with blue lasers. Floyd standing on the teleporter and two centurions under the sky who appear at the very end in the final arena.

2. There's a hole in the floor that leads to secrets.

Many people miss the hub room with slipgate and the wall marked with the number 1, the button is located nearby on the ceiling...

Also, non-working slipgate will be enabled in lower room after opening the hatch, you need to press keyboard to activate it.

There is another exit from the water, it's simply done so that you can fall and swim along the bottom, pick up mega health and swim through another upper passage to ambush one of the soldiers, or just explore...

If you forgot to pick up the grenades, it doesn't stop you from raising the elevator with the button and climbing into the ventilation underneath it again. You mean this secret, right?

Are you pick up RL in slime tunnels (where 2nd circuitboard placed)?
 
yeah, 8/9 secrets is all I was able to find in this map. I'd guess, that maybe the MH triggered by the computer console near the end room, after the red lasers could be the missing secret but is not triggered correctly?

HUGE SPOILERS

The first one is the very beginning of the map, just shells, behind a breakable grate.

The second one is mega health underwater, next to a drowned man.

The third one is to break the boxes and the grate and jump onto a large metal beam and take the backpack.

The fourth one is the ventilation under the elevator and the GL is there.

The fifth one is another grate when the elevator is going up (nearby with fourth secret).

The sixth one is the red button on the ceiling, in the hub room with the slipgate.

The seventh one is a breakable brick wall with grenades (nearby jump boots, jump boots required).

The eighth one is a slime tunnel with RL next to the 2nd circuitboard (biosuit required).

The ninth one is SNG after disabling the first row of red lasers at the end of the map.

Yeah found the RL. IMO the RL is too powerful for this level.

How exactly do I install this/play this mod?

I unzipped all contents to ad folder.. As told. Launched quakespasm, console: game ad. Started new game there then opened console again typed map dhsp1 to no avail. just says cannot find. etc. Do I have to create a file inside the ad folder called dhsp1 then unzip to that? and yes I am fairly new to this.
