I always like spooky-xmas vibe stuff, and Quake is a pretty good fit! Thanks for sharing.
Fun little map with a progression through distinct interesting areas that make sense in their own weird way... I'd probably rather see that kind of thing than detailed geometry and texture work. Although of course having both would be the best! Not sure where this lands in the 3/4 star area, just going with 3 since it's less ambitious than other stuff I usually 4-star.
Two miscellaneous things I noticed:
* I saw an obvious (IMO) "floor is going to fall away" trap, so I ran fast enough so that it wouldn't catch me. After the floor did open, I saw that it was dumping into a slime pit (I think) and just moved on elsewhere. At the end of the map tho I was only at like 45/72 kills, and noclipping back I see that the trap fall actually leads to a significant area with more monsters and weapon pickups and stuff. Hmm! Kind of a bummer to be punished for escaping a trap.
* In a different area: it was satisfying to notice a way to climb up to a little secret-y platform, and then have a monster rush trigger while I was on my way up. Got to hang out above them milling around, cause some infighting, shoot them at my convenience. If that was intentional, nice way to make the player feel a bit smart.
