"Way to snow!" (My first Quake map)

Congratulations on your first map. It's always great to see people getting into Quake mapping in 2026.

The map was solid overall. I didn't encounter any game-breaking bugs or other major problems. The textures weren't really my cup of tea, though. I think something a bit more classical would have suited the map better and elevated the overall look.

I also found the enemy placement and sheer quantity a little boring at times. More isn't always better, although I felt this improved towards the end of the map. Maybe I was imagining it, but did you switch to TrenchBroom there?

Author Kuro_Mahoh's debut work took me by surprise a bit with its enemy placement! The enemies were positioned very effectively; even though I'm the kind of player who knows that flipping a switch usually causes a wall to lower often revealing nasty surprises I somehow kept ignoring that fact. That's why I really enjoyed playing through the map. The design is average, but that doesn't negatively impact the player's experience or the map's intended purpose. On the contrary, the gameplay flow works perfectly, and the textures from `ogro.wad` give the map a fresh look. Since the items and weapons weren't altered, I used my HD texture pack to enhance them. All in all, it's a solid map that I can definitely recommend!

I liked the map. It's really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was fine: lots of monsters, but there wasn't any real tension.

I suddenly remembered my first maps, and they were really bad compared to this one. Yes, it's pretty simple, but I don't feel like giving the author any recommendations. For a first map, it's really good, and I believe the author will quickly gain experience and create masterpieces.

Always love playing a first map, inspiring to see. It's a solid map, reasonably challenging but not too hard. Love to see a pack of dogs - makes sense to me. Hope this is the first of many!

Simple but nice with no obvious problems. A few places that should be reachable but aren't because of invisible walls.
