Would not have guessed this is a first map. The secrets made possible by the time warp were really fun to figure out

Thank you so much. I might consider running a jam with this concept, but not in the nearby future as I am gonna be quite busy...
A really cool map. A really cool idea. The biggest regret is that it ended so quickly. I wanted to move around more and more. The fights were good, not too difficult and not too easy. Thank you for your work and for the great execution of the idea. I wouldn't mind playing another level or two with this mechanic.

Thank you so much for the kind words, means a lot from such an experienced mapper!
Great mechanics. I think I've only scratched the surface of what's possible, but even that was a lot of fun. The sense of time passing in the environment was also conveyed really well. I'd love to see more of this. Thank you very much.

Thank you!
I love the time-warp mechanic, and this is hopefully used in more future projects. Impressive start to just introduce this interesting puzzle mechanics into your first map. Only thing that struggled me, was to get over the pillars that did not succeed for me and after several tries. Finally I used no-clip to get over. I found 13 Secrets in my 1 hour long first run. The Enemies being a fair challenge to me. Thank you for this experiance

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad the challenge was fair in the end even on hard - was afraid I went a little too hard :)
Great idea with the time jumps , brings something new and interesting to quake. Might have been inspired by portal reloaded

I would leave the time jump as they are now, otherwise it would be very easy to telefrag enemies - I tried though :)

Would love to see a map jam!

I haven't seen that mod, but it definitely shares a lot of concepts and ideas. If I had to give a more direct inspiration it would be the Dishonored 2 level, with the caveat that it was more of a vague thing I remembered enjoying a lot rather than a source of specific concepts per se.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it!
For any mapper, this would be good. For a 'first' map, it's marvellous!
Ok, some lighting and brushwork boo-boos, but in this map they are overshadowed by a completely new idea, some nice little riddles and some very well hidden secrets. I really don't see where this got 'outta hand'...
I got so absorbed in the gameplay of this map, that i forgot about everything else... Well done!
I will expect great things from this mapper in the future. Gruesome things, but great!
Wecome on board - Thanks for your work, and thanks for sharing!

I wanted it to be a short, proof of concept map - but kept getting good ideas... :)

Thank you for the kind words, hope to make nice maps in the future. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!

Glad u enjoyed my map Rudi :)
A really interesting concept. I don't remember I ever played anything like this in a map before.
It's very exciting and worth playing multiple times to uncover a few more secrets.
It was tricky to figure out how to get across the columns, that's a very clever design.

My goal was definitely to make something memorable enough that it makes you want to replay it, so I'm very happy to hear you've enjoyed it! Thank you for your kind words
Truly a breath of fresh air! I hope you or other mappers can expand on this concept in the future. (How on earth did you cram that many secretes in that map? I only found 12!)

The nice idea of switching between two worlds. Like it.

Perhaps I'm a bit biased as a playtester, but I fell in love with this mechanic and immediately saw the potential it had.
Overall, I think the experience of the map is very solid. The puzzle mechanics make you flex your brain a bit, much more-so if you're secret hunting, and the combat in my opinion does well to string together exploration without being too overbearing.
Fantastic first map, and I think a jam using these progs would be more than welcome (after people recover from QBJ3, of course)

I think this is a great proof of concept, also I thought the design and environments were very cool.

I'd be damned! The time traveling mechanic is just brilliant. Visually the map is a little bit sloppy, but it didn't spoil the pleasure of exploring the castle/station. The length is just ideal - for me it was around 30 minutes, and personally I prefer maps to be no longer than that. Encounters are rather simplistic, yet they work and work nicely. All in all this map is HIGH above mediocre map. It's not masterpice - but could be. The map is highly recommended for playing. PS. Oh and I got 12 secrets on the 1st run!

Mixed feelings on this - the central "timewarp" mechanic successfully replicates the concept from Titanfall 2 et al, and the initial puzzles are interesting, although a little forced.
the "bridge" you need to change timeline to get is only needed because it's essentially impossible to jump from the ledge because there's a ladder attached to it for example.

Later puzzles become a bit more realtime timing dependent (I did not manage the "jump over the slime filled room by shooting the timeswitch button as I jumped so I landed on the pillar in the other timezone puzzle because I just couldn't get the timing, so I noclipped it), and the combat challenge seems to ramp up even on Easy to the point where it detracted from the experience. As I'm not a huge fan of Alkaline, this became a DNF shortly after.

(Also, there seems to maybe be a bug: the security cannons don't seem to disable if you try to shoot or hit the override button)

People who are better at traversal than me (and like Alkaline more) may rate this higher!

Thank you for playing. The map is definitely a bit of a tech demo, and calibrated towards being quite challenging with traversal. I'm glad you found it enjoyable despite it not being exactly your cup of tea! :)
