The quakerooms

Nicely built and lit, as an art piece it works fine. However, there's not enough to hold my interest. I understand it's an homage to backrooms, however I think it could do with some variance in the visuals and perhaps a few unexpected interactions: even something like a one-way door or hearing something nearby that requires investigation.

I've often wondered about doing art pieces like this, but worried that they wouldn't be interesting. This piece confirms for me that while it's fun to just make stuff to walk around in, the space does need something more for the viewer to engage with.

Since you mentioned it was created as a piece of art just for fun, I'll evaluate it with that in mind. The whole thing is beautifully staged as a maze; adding enemies in secret areas—along with an actual exit—would make it really interesting! There's really no need to change the textures. You'd just need to add some items, and you'd essentially have an interesting game concept... However, I won't be recording a video of the map, given the lack of enemies and so on. But then again, you did say it was meant to be a work of art.

Downloaded and bounced around for a bit - it's a nice map, interesting layout. Made me wonder if there would be room for a map based on just navigating a maze, or finding secrets only. Good stuff - thanks for your efforts.
