As a casual experience this is probably a solid 3.5/5 but where this shines is trying to speedrun the maps as the jam dares people to do and try. Par times are great aside from Mapperbrain by Melbo which is ridiculously low and requires you to do power bunnyhops. You crazy crazy man.
Mapperbrain was still fun to figure out what is the fastest route and what items you want to pick up. I think I managed to evolve the route about 4 times before settling for the fastest one. Really cool stuff.
Serpentine Slaughterhouse by Grue had a really nice route figuring as well. At first that 1 minute par time sounds crazy low, but there is a very effective route to beat that time easily. Map also looks great and layout is a small fun openworld exploration simulation.
Bitter Breath by Common Cold and Year of the Game by ChadQuad were fun to beat par times in, but man some of these maps could use better lighting. Especially these 2.
200m by Melbo is just what you probably imagine it is. Funnily enough you can match the par time here without power bunnyhops or completely destroy it with some other tools provided.
Aqueous Confoundium by Shamblernaut was great aside from being dark on some corners. Cool creative shortcut ideas came to mind while playing through it. Par time was fairly balanced so I didn't optimize it to the fullest. There are more here than my playthrough gives it credit.
Overall extremely nice maps created with speedrunning routes in mind. Visuals are not mind blowing but doesn't have to be. Just that damn darkness could've been toned down a bit.
