Another excellent MBP (must Be Played) episode.
I loved it.
Recommend it.
Thank you.

Loved this mod. It's hard but it feels balanced and fair. Some puzzles are actually hard to solve, but not impossible to if you have been played Quake and both expansions. Not a episode pack that i would recommend to newcomers but I think this should be a must-to-play

Replayed this recently, enjoyed it far more than during my first playthrough(probably wasn't in the mood for such complexity/difficulty back then).
This will always be one of my favorite map sets. It has such a wonderfully hostile atmosphere complimented by Immorpher's soundtrack, almost reminding me of a more modern Warp Spasm, and doesn't hesitate to challenge the player with intense combat and jumping puzzles + secret hunting, all of which I have grown to absolutely love. You can tell a lot of care went into all the SMEJ content, and it will make you a better player!
A great start for an amazing group of mappers. Lots of hints at gameplay and thematic ideas that would go on to be fleshed out quite a bit in SMEJ2. Things can feel a bit disjointed, but that's part of the charm. Highlights include the sheer atmosphere of uKKo's map, the wild sandy-esque stylings of Newhouse, and the intensity of the Smilescythe and Mazu offerings.
The pack that started the modern mapping Episode revival in my eyes. A fantastic outing across the board. My personal favorite is uKKo's map, The atmosphere is so thick that I believe it is yet to be matched by another map in that regard.
