Awesome episode at a perfect length! Made me smile, kept me invested, and was overall straightforward. The new weapon, new monster, and the visual setpieces made it special.

Cool mini episode! Intriguing start and neat layouts. I can see the maps aiming to be vanilla detail level and that is fine. New stuff was interesting and mechanics were used a little bit with the levels, but I wish there was a bit more to the setups.

Towards the end it feels a bit tired I think that is the best word I can use to describe it. Encounters and care to gameplay could've been lifted a bit more.

Also bonus points for doing some interesting environmental storytelling with the overall story and plot.

Its pretty good. The maps were fun to play, i didnt get lost. The weapon was a bit busted but fun. The enemy was fun to fight against.

I was truly impressed by the sheer fact you made a new weapon and a new enemy. Along side some other things like brain model, or the silly audio gimmick in moon level.

There's lots of good ideas in here (although I think maybe some text per map, rather than everything at the end might be better pacing for the story elements). I really liked what you did with the lunar level for ambience.

As for the new monster, I liked the idea, and mostly my problems are with the projectile which is also really my only main complaint about the new weapon as well.

The pacing is really pretty good between the maps too!

(Also, yes, I could actually play this happily on Normal difficulty, which people who have seen my reviews in general with note as unusual :) )

This was fun! Lots of great ideas. Good sense of space, and a decent variety of base mobs and level concepts. The progression of levels did a pretty good job of implying a story/progression, and the commentary in the end text was fascinating.

An excellent little time. I took a little longer with the mod than the listed time, but it made for a nice afternoon's diversion. I'd love to see what more this team of artist and mastermind could come up with next.

The level design was certainly interesting. I could sort of tell where the creator of this mod started and where they picked things back up. Things definitely became more action-focused and fast-paced on the final level, and the last two had no secrets at all (totally fine). Here are my thoughts on the levels.

Map start was fun. Great introduction to the new enemy, I loved being in the eerie hall of them and seeing one "on display", alongside the new weapon. Then, being able to fight one head-on, and being shown the weak-point directly afterwards was a very nice introduction. I always love searching for the Nightmare skill, and this one was a simple discovery (not a bad thing).

First level was good. Theming was interesting, the "red" base was just that. Second level was probably my favorite. Felt like a very good little level, sort of old-school in simplicity. Third one was... cool, I liked the idea and the "bosses" found towards its end, but I almost had wished it had been a traditional level itself given the unique environment, low-gravity, and "silence". I feel this level has more potential. Fourth level was great. It felt like it was starting to push me more, and, as I previously stated, felt more fast-paced. A decent challenge for a final level. Oh, and I absolutely loved blowing up that giant brain.

As for the Automaton, I feel this was a great showcase for the monster, and I would love to see it really be put to use in future maps. It has a very strong design and sounds great, I love the weakness on its back as well. It has potential. As for the event horizon maker, it is an interesting gun, the recoil was a little much (it go brrr), but it didn't really bother me. What did bother me a little more was the quality gap between the Automaton and the EHM. A little extra tweaking to it and the space suit would really clean the experience up nicely, but this matters very little since this would be up to the artist and mod creator.

Finally, I really really enjoyed the music. The initial tracks were eerie and fit well with a Quake map set, and the final track was a real bop. I was nodding my head to it the whole time.

Great work. I'd love to see (and hear) more.

Congratulations on this release. I just played it and had a lot of fun. I think the new enemy was great. I loved the idea of the backpack. I didn't like the new weapon so much. It had a bit too much recoil, and the projectiles took up a bit too much of the screen for my liking, so I didn't enjoy using it too much. The difficulty could have been a bit higher for me. I didn't break into a sweat on Hard.

I really liked the story.
The rocket launch and the moon base were great.

Thank you very much.
