Excellent couple of maps with a great vanilla+ feel.
Secrets were neat and creative. Combat is thoughtful and plays well with the level design. The levels are intricate without being too large and overwhelming. Just the right amount of exploration with engaging combat and excellent visuals.
Both maps were a pleasure to explore and to play. The first one is a wonderful reimagining of the old skool maps. Gameplay, enemy encounters and level structure all remained interesting and engaging from start to finish. The acid base aesthetic of the second reminded me in the best way of Terror Fuma, my favorite base map ever. These secrets were too well hidden for me. I need to play again to find them.
Absolutely fantastic. Modern yet perfectly classic, just the way I like it. The atmosphere and flow are spot on. The final fight, though, felt noticeably tougher than the rest of both maps– maybe even a bit over the top.
All in all, I had a great time. Thanks a lot!
really liked these 2 maps, laughed at the end of the first map when the blowjob brothers came out of the exit, think the second was a bit long and could've used some extra health toward the end, but they were really fun id1 maps
The combat is consistently fun and challenging enough without being frustrating, although the first map feels like it goes on a bit too long with only the base enemies. The visuals have a polished vanilla-adjacent style. I found the secrets were mostly pretty good; some of them were not particularly interesting but I didn't hate any of them. The layouts had a lot of verticality and general interest, including some impressive setpieces, especially in the second map.
Works well with Copper, although the lightning gun is less useful without the ammo from enforcers.

Two superb maps with great layout and pacing. And the best IMHO no silly and unnecessary colored lightning. It's not a circus.

Always good to return to the basic values of Quake.
It is a pity that there is no additional lighting on the maps and there is not enough light fog. However, I got lost and almost drowned in the mirrored underwater maze.
On the second map, all brown or golden doors have a dragon image on only one half of the door (on one door leaf).
