Head Reattachment Trauma

Short, sweet, occasionally nasty (in a good way), and very enjoyable map that does a lot with very little. The fights/enemy setups do feel a bit heavy-handed, but I think it all works fine considering how short the map is. Besides, the encounter design creates a certain feeling of... powerlessness, which meshes well with the cold, mechanical base aesthetics. Excellent.
I loved this. A relatively small map that does a LOT with the limited space. As mentioned by Mopey bloke, I encountered mysterious crushing damage on the lift towards the end, stealing about 70HP from me during the Shambler fight. Otherwise a very very nice map with some fun twists in a couple of the arenas while also being a delight to look at.
Great use of the tech textures. Loved the mechanical nature of the facility and the back 'n' forth flavour of maintenance spaces vs open spaces. Loads of moving parts squeezed into a short level! Really beautiful work!
Excellent texture work and flow, I love the use of wind tunnels and lasers here.
Great encounter design and map looks amazing. Makkon's base textures are put in to great use here. Difficulty was just right on hard difficulty. Secrets were beyond my ability to find though.

Short but very focused experience.
A map with tight combat scenarios, almost always an ambush, but not too difficult to deal with. The map is enjoyable in as far as you like to deal with the ambushes as they come, but you're almost never in control of the combat engagement, so the gameplay is one-note in a way.

An aside, I keep getting crushed by air in the lift section of the map, but I'm playing on Mark V and will assume this doesn't happen in other engines. It doesn't kill me though.

Hmm, interesting issue. The elevator shaft is largely empty except for some trigger volumes, teleporter destinations, and func_detail_illusionary brushwork around the edges.

I downloaded Mark V and was able to replicate it a couple of times, but your guess is as good as mine what the problem is.
"Head Reattachment Trauma" is a surprisingly small map, despite providing fairly roomy fights. Almost every encounter is a set piece of sorts — usually engaged byway of a trap. The visuals are absolutely on point, with plenty of neat industrial details and generous lighting. My only real complaint is that there didn't seem to be a way to go back after reaching the apex of the final elevator — which hinders secret hunting.
lovely little map, does a whole lot with very little, and focuses on interesting encounters that makes the player fight in unusual ways
Great progression and pacing. I love how you revisit the same places few times and the lift section was awesome.
Fantastic little map. I'm impressed at how much can be done with such a limited amount of space. Great texture work and unique designs.
Great map! Well detailed, tightly designed, and claustrophobic in all the right ways!
A nice bite size map. Excellent texture usage.
Very inventive combat scenarios and pleasantly aggressive monster placement. Immaculately textured and detailed as well, verging on obsessive. A must-play for 2022.
