Absolutely decent little map!
Good brushwork and lighting, very good 'mood' setting - it has caught the spirit of the original maps quite well... a couple of sounds are a bit overwhelming, but that's nitpicking.

I certainly hope that this mapper will continue and not just see it as a 'college project' - i'm quite eager to see what the next map looks like...

It's alright. It lacks dynamics to the combat in parts but overall really really good, especially for first map.

Nice little map, I had fun playing it.
People who know more about this than I do may find fault with the textures and shadows, but it's not a layman's job to determine that.
Quake isn't perfect, and may it never be perfect.
Just Quake'n'Roll as I like it.
I found secrets 1/2 and had kills 41/46, and will try again after a break.
