Colony 5 : The Ancient Archive

Very interesting map. Structure and gaming process.

Had fun playing and exploring this map with the LG in hand right from start. Interesting Secrets and Challenges that wasn't to hard at least for me. I found all 5 Secrets without noclip, but after passing through the Golden Door I got lost for a while and went in circles, before suddenly found the way to the Exit area. I quickly loaded up and ran through the Colony Maps I all played month before and this is another nice addition and feels improved compared to the first Colony map.

i like it , good map

That was great, especially the heavy Thunderbolt use. You don't see that very often. I had a lot of fun. I didn't find any secrets on my first run, but I'm definitely not finished yet.

Fun and satisfying map. Layout is nice and interconnected with loops and has that nice mazey feeling without being confusing. Size feels just right. Overall visuals and geometry are also nicely done. Can be approached from different angles depending on the path you choose at the beginning. Always a plus to make the player feel like we've got exploration options.

Enemy encounters are pretty good with a few too obvious spawn points. Maybe a bit over reliance on the fiends? Overall combat is satisfying but could be better. Lightning gun is the star of the show. I have to go back and replay Colony from the start, and see how this map flows with the rest.

Overall a very solid effort and a strong addition to Colony. Looking forward what this mapper has in store for the future!
