Trenchbroom is the most popular editor for Quake these days but one downside is that it lacks primitives, so mappers have to construct basic shapes from scratch, which can be tedious and time consuming. With this map I aim to help address that with a wide ranging set of primitives.
Version 2, which draws upon useful feedback from Bal in particular, will probably be the most useful for most mappers and contains:
I also recommend that mappers who use these in their maps (especially the cylinders and pipes) with a recent dev branch of ericw-tools. The 2018 public branch compiles them inefficiently, resulting in a high poly count, whereas the latest dev branch as of 3 April 2023 is far more efficient and produces less than half as many polys.
Thanks especially to dumptruck_ds's Trenchbroom tutorials and Bridgeburner's Ultimate Doom Builder tutorials for inspiring this, and to Paril for providing very useful feedback in the Quake Mapping Discord.

Version 2, which draws upon useful feedback from Bal in particular, will probably be the most useful for most mappers and contains:
- 12 amd 24-sided CZG curves at 1024x1024, 768x768, 512x512, 384x384 and 256x256.
- For 12-sided ones 192x192, 128x128, 96x96 and 64x64 versions are also included.
- Bevels and extruded trims are included - all pre-textured
- Each set of extrusions has been extended 32 units in both directions from the base shape.
- There are 4 different sizes of pipes with curves, plus two tunnels, one 256 wide, one 512 wide.
- In addition I have included two sets of 45-degree corners in various sizes. The 45 degree parts stick to multiples of 4 grid boxes as is recommended in Markie's "mapping on 45 degrees" tutorial. Again I have included extrusions 32 units in both directions.
- Cylinders - 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20 and 24 sided
- Extrusions - 16, 32, 64 and 128 wide (especially intended for trims and arches)
- Bevels (especially intended for arches)
- Pipes (standard 24 sided CZG) with rounded corners - 256x256, 192x192, 128x128, 96x96 and 64x64
- A cone
