OVERVIEW:
this is a gameplay mod that replaces all q1 monsters/weapons with non expansion packs q2 enemies/weapons , best for FTEQW and Quakespasm Spiked, other engines may not work as well.
INSTALL GUIDE: (this is because the mod doesn't come with Q2 models)
-get "models" folder from your [ORIGINAL QUAKE 2] pak files, specifically [PAK0.PAK] from [BASEQ2] using [SLADE] or any [PAK VIEWER]
-get "sound" folder from your [ORIGINAL QUAKE 2] pak files, specifically [PAK0.PAK] from [BASEQ2] using [SLADE] or any [PAK VIEWER]
-copy "sound" folder to inside "bittermod" folder, replacing the old sound folder (DO NOT DELETE THE OLD SOUND FOLDER INSIDE BITTERMOD)
-copy "models" folder to inside "quake2modelconverter" folder
-run "ConvertQuake2.bat"
-copy newly created "progs" folder to "bittermod" folder, replacing the old progs folder (DO NOT DELETE THE OLD PROGS FOLDER INSIDE BITTERMOD)
-finally, copy the "bittermod" folder to the folder you keep your [QUAKESPASM SPIKED] or [FTE QW] source port, other source ports may work but not recommended
SOUND FIX FOR LINUX USERS (thx anon):
-issue a simple command under Linux while being in sound folder:
find . -iname "*.wav" -exec bash -c 'mv -v "$0" "${0%/*}/$(basename "$0" | tr "[:upper:]" "[:lower:]")"' {} \;

-like "Oops All Stroggs!" the mod also includes restored AI stuff for the enemies, some weapons are slightly faster and have their stats changed so that they play better :>
-the source code for the mod is included in the download, and its based on the cleaned vanilla progs.
-theres also a new hud i included in :> based it on the Q2TEST hud with bitterman's face.
-deathmatch gun pmodels.
-support for ritual maps
